My Process
Nurturing Care
As an experienced Doula, my goal is to give you and your family the attention and knowledge you need to make informed decisions about your pregnancy and labor.
I founded my business in 2000 in San Francisco, and consider myself blessed to have found such a fulfilling career. I love working with expectant mothers and their families to help them navigate the birth and labor process. I look at each new birth as a unique experience and in return I provide mothers with the encouragement and motivation they need.
I am a Birth & Postnatal Doula and a KGHypnobirthing teacher. I live in West Hertfordshire and work within a 1 hour drive radius.
I don’t think the importance of how parent/s meet their baby can be overestimated, it goes on to form the very foundation of their relationship together. I believe, parent/s that feel supported, strong and confident are in the best position to trust their instincts physically and mentally as they navigate pregnancy, birth, the fourth trimester and early years.
Inclusivity, individualised care and choice are at the heart of my practice. My passion is supporting women and birthing people to have the birth that aligns with them. I am actively against discrimination in my work, and personal life, and am proud to be from a gay family. Whatever family looks like to you, I look forward to embracing your unique dynamic.
I believe birth is the most important event in yours and your baby’s life and it should be planned for accordingly. However your journey towards parenthood has began, I work with you providing un-biased, physical, emotional and practical support that is centered around who you are and where you want to be. My role is not to replace a partner/husband/best friend/mother but to join your circle and support everyone in working together towards a shared desired outcome. If you are travelling this path as a single parent, I can be your birth partner.
