What is a doula?A doula is someone who provides physical, emotional, and informational support to individuals and families during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Doulas do not provide medical care, but they offer continuous support to help the mother and family have a birth that is positive, informed and nurtured throughout the process.
